Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan

On 25 December 2023, Ambassador Lee Eun Yong participated at the Opening Ceremony of Azerbaijan Taekwondo Championship in Baku Sports Palace. In total, 76 teams from all over the country are participating at the competition, which ends on December 28.

During the opening ceremony, Ambassador Lee had an opportunity to meet  Kamaladdin Heydarov, President of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation and Minister of Emergency Situations, and Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, and to discuss ways to strengthen Korea-Azerbaijan Taekwondo cooperation and expand youth exchanges.

Ambassador Lee also presented the medals to the winning athletes to support and encourage them.
